Flame F1 custom guitar
This Flame F1 custom guitar was commission by Daniel Weavers. I first got to know Daniel when he was a teenager. Over the course of several years he came to me with guitars to service and set up. Having left school, and after working for some time, Daniel asked me to build a guitar for him.
We had a a couple of lengthy discussions about build options. Fortunately, Daniel had a very clear idea of what he wanted. Out of those discussions a build specification was produced:
Flame F1 custom guitar
- Figured ash body top
- Through neck construction
- 25″ scale length
- Maple neck with walnut side wings
- Bloodwood body bindings
- Rocklite Ebano fretboard with bloodwood edge bindings
- Mother of pearl fretboard markers
- 10-14″ compound radius fretboard
- Eavana compensated nut
- Gotoh 510 tuners
- Bare Knuckle Abraxas pickup
- Ebony pickup surrounds
- Coil cut for neck pickup
- Series parallel switching for bridge pickup
- Hipshot bridge
- Gloss finish (water-based poly)
It was a pleasure to build this Flame F1 custom guitar for Daniel and I hope that playing this guitar brings him much pleasure.
